Charty Chart Chat: You Say Party! We Say Die! Stay On Top For Third Straight Week

The Adventures Of Ghost Horse And Stillborn

The party continues to roll on for Vancouver quintet You Say Party! We Say Die!. Their new Lose All Time album from Toronto's Paper Bag Records remains at #1 for a third consecutive week. Former #1, Arcade Fire's Neon Bible, has been right behind it for the same amount of time.

Jumping six spots to #3 is Lesbians On Ecstasy's We Know You Know, while The Besnard Lakes' The Besnard Lakes Are The Dark Horse rises a notch to #4. Dropping two places to #5 is LCD Soundsystem's Sound Of Silver, while both Do Make Say Think's You, You're A History In Rust at #6 and Modest Mouse's We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank at #7 remain in the same places as last week. CocoRosie's The Adventures Of Ghost Horse And Stillborn debuts at #8, giving it the illustrious Chart Sizzler Award for the highest debut of the week. The Wooden Stars' People Are Different rockets up 22 places to #9, with Low's Drums And Guns dipping a deuce to #10.

The second highest new entry is The Rheostatics tribute compilation, The Secret Sessions, which enters at #19. Peter Elkas' Wall Of Fire arrives at #27, just beating out The Blow's Poor Aim: Love Songs at #28. Other notable new entries include Maybe Smith's Animals And Architects at #31, City And Colour's Live at #36 and The Kaiser Chiefs' Yours Truly, Angry Mob at #46. Jim Bryson's Where The Bungalows Roam reappears at #17 and Chet's Fight Against Darkness re-enters at #22 after they were both absent from the chart for a week.

It's dullsville at the top of the five specialty charts, as three of them have the same #1 as last week: LCD Soundsystem's Sound Of Silver on Electronic; J Dilla's Ruff Draft on Hip-Hop; and The Locust's New Erections on Metal/Punk. Albums that were #1 two weeks ago return to the top of the other two charts. Tinariwen's Aman Iman: Water Is Life re-ascends to #1 on the World/Folk top 10, while the Dig Your Roots: Creative Jazz compilation jumps six places to wrestle back #1 on the Jazz/Blues chart.
