New Releases: Arctic Monkeys Drop Latest Nightmare

It seems like only yesterday that those fresh-faced Arctic Monkeys were gracing the cover of NME and breaking British sales records with their Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not debut. Well, in music industry terms, it pretty much was yesterday. Regardless, they're back this week with Favourite Worst Nightmare, another contradictory titled album of songs that sound as though they were written by Arctic Monkeys (the band, not the animal).
Jimmy Tamborello was a little-known electronic musician working under the moniker Dntel before he teamed up with Ben Gibbard and became famous as The Postal Service. On Tuesday he puts out Dumb Luck, a new LP under the Dntel guise, with help from his many famous friends, including Bright Eyes and Jenny Lewis.
After releasing countless albums under the Smog banner, Bill Callahan has decided to be himself for the first time in his recording career. Apparently he's sick of Smog (who isn't?), so he's lifting the veil for his new Woke On A Whaleheart album. It's out this week.
