Jason Collett Making Early Rare Recordings Available On Digital EP

Broken Social Scene member Jason Collett doesn't want to waste any music — especially if it's his own.
Arts & Crafts will release the Toronto singer/songwriter/guitarist's new Prodigals EP — a compilation of rare material and demos that were recorded before he put out his 2002 Motor Motel Love Songs album — on May 8. It will only be available digitally through a variety of online retailers.
The seven tracks are mostly from sessions for Collett's 2000 Chrome Reflection album, but "Runaway" and "Diggin' In The Carpet" are from recordings made for 2001's Bitter Beauty.
Collett contributed a version of Stars' "Reunion" to Do You Trust Your Friends, an Arts & Crafts compilation of artists who "remixed, re-interpreted and re-imagined" songs from Stars' 2004 album, Set Yourself On Fire. That record will be out on May 22.
Here are the songs on Prodigals:
"Super Model"
"Madame Pompadour"
"Sugar Sugar"
"Silent One"
"Too Much"
"Runaway"
"Diggin' In The Carpet"
