Deluxe Edition Of Beyonce's B'Day Removed From Stores

Beyonce's B'Day has been cancelled.
No, the actress and R&B star hasn't found some sort of Dorian Gray-like anti-aging secret (though she could afford it if such a thing existed), she's just had the deluxe edition of her B'Day album pulled from stores due to legal issues.
The original LP was released last September, and the new version followed on April 3 with five new songs. One of them, "Still In Love (Kissing You)," features interpolations of Des'ree's "I'm Kissing You," which was a hit in 1996. While Beyonce's legal team sought clearance to use them, they didn't come to an agreement with Royalty Network, which published the original song.
The deluxe edition and the Wal-Mart-exclusive B'Day Anthology Video Album were released anyway, and now Royalty Network has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit for both the use of the song and the video made for it.
Royalty Network is seeking $150,000 U.S. in damages and an injunction to recall the deluxe edition of B'Day and B'Day Anthology Video Album from stores. Beyonce's Columbia label and its Sony BMG parent company have agreed to "engage in no further distribution" of the album or the DVD that includes the "Still In Love (Kissing You)" video until a preliminary injunction hearing on the matter is held on May 4.
