Lily Allen Continues To Party, But Cancels Shows

British pop star Lily Allen claimed to have beat the bottle last summer, but it looks as though good old Jack Daniels has gotten his hooks into her again.
The chart-topping "Smile" singer has cancelled the majority of her North American tour dates in May and June, but will still play shows in New York City and Los Angeles and the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on April 29 and the Bonnaroo Music And Arts Festival on June 15.
Allen posted this cheeky message on her website blog explaining her sudden disdain for touring.
"The reason for this is because my mummy and daddy are very rich and I have never been in a position where I have actually had to do any hard work before. I thought that being popstar meant going out getting trashed with famous people and sleeping in all day. The fact that this is not true has come as a huge disappointment to me, and as a result I am throwing the towel in."
Then Allen revealed the real reasons why she's cancelling the tour.
"I have been on tour with this album for a year now, I have fulfilled every commitment up to this point. I am tired, but more than that I don't think I have been giving my best performances recently. I have been getting really drunk because I've been so nervous about doing bad shows, and I don't want people spending money on going to see a show that isn't the best it could be."
To avoid being lumped into the same category as Lindsay Lohan or the recently rehabbed Britney Spears, Allen decided to quell any rumours that may surface about her.
"I am not falling apart at the seams, I am not suffering with exhaustion, I am not pregnant, and I am not going to rehab. I will be here in America, promoting the album and also starting to write the second album, which I am beyond excited about."
Allen ended her message with an apology to fans who bought tickets to the cancelled shows, but we're pretty sure that she still doesn't give a rat's ass about NME editors or what the British music magazine thinks of her.
