Decemberists, Dandy Warhols And Others Cover Tunes For Charity CD

Arena Rock Recording Company has enlisted such musical luminaries as The Decemberists, The Thermals, The Minus 5 and The Dandy Warhols to help with a compilation to benefit homeless youth in the label's base of Portland, Oregon.
The 19-track Bridging The Distance, which arrives in stores on April 17, features modern covers of classic (and some not-so-classic) songs. All of the artists donated their efforts and sales proceeds will go to P:ear, a local organization aimed at helping homeless and transitional youth make a better life for themselves through education, art and recreation.
