Dilana Robichaux, known to most as the runner-up to Lukas Rossi in the Rock Star: Supernova television series, is writing material for her debut album.
One of Robichaux's collaborators is Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars, who's working with her on a song called "Time Is A Wound."
"I immediately 'fell in love' with my new adopted Dad, Mick," Robichaux wrote in a recent post on her MySpace page. "We instantly had a chemistry and a connection so special that I'm still totally dumb-founded by it! I've never met someone so beautiful, funny, giving, caring and talented and I'm sooo excited to work with him some more!"
The pair, who got together in mid-March to jam, recently got "pact" tattoos — Mars on his hand and Robichaux on her chest — of the African voodoo symbol for Mars at Sunset Strip Tattoo in Los Angeles. Mars also gave the singer one of his guitars, an '80s white and gold Gretsch with a penguin on it. Robichaux, who toured North America earlier this year with Rock Star Supernova and The Panic Channel, performed some of her new songs in Las Vegas, including "Build A Boy" and "Solid Gold." The latter is described as "kinda goth-metal-rock but very melodic." The as-yet untitled album, which will most likely also feature original songs "Supersoul" and "Holiday," is expected this summer. A tour will follow.
Robichaux made a guest appearance on the recent self-titled album by Rock Star Supernova and former Guns N' Roses member Gilby Clarke.
