Katharine McPhee, Eva Avila And Canadian Idol Auditions To Hit Toronto

The dates for the Toronto auditions for the fifth season of Canadian Idol have been set, and they'll feature a free show with reigning Canadian Idol Eva Avila and American Idol runner-up, Katharine McPhee.
Aspiring singers are invited to Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 14 to lay their skills — and pride — on the line in front of judges Jake Gold, Sass Jordan, Zack Werner and Farley Flex. After those brave souls are sorted through, McPhee and the Juno-nominated Avila will share a stage for the first time and perform a mini-concert. Avila is scheduled for a performance later that night at the Danforth Music Hall.
Tryouts will continue during the same hours at the same location the next day. After the Toronto stop, the operation will move to Oshawa, Ont. on April 17 and 18. The Ontario auditions comprise the final stops on an 11-city tour that began in Vancouver in February.
Guidelines and information for the audition-bound can be found on the Canadian Idol website.
