Yayo Pleads Not Guilty, 50 Cent Claims He Wasn't Around For Teen-Slap

Rapper Tony Yayo pleaded not guilty on Sunday to misdemeanor charges of harassment and endangering the welfare of a child over his Saturday arrest for allegedly hitting the 14-year-old son of a rival.
Yayo (real name Marvin Bernard) posted $5,000 bail and was released following his arraignment. The G-Unit member is accused of slapping the son of Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond, who manages fellow rapper The Game, who has had a feud with G-Unit since leaving the posse two years ago. Yayo's lawyer claims that his client is innocent.
"We adamantly deny the allegations as they were set forth by the district attorney's office," said a statement issued by Scott Leemon.Rosemond and the teen's mother, Cynthia Reed, have also accused 50 Cent of being involved in the March 20 incident, but his lawyer released this statement saying that Fiddy wasn't there.
"We are conducting our own investigation to determine exactly what happened. One thing I can say with absolute certainty, however, is that at the time of the alleged incident, 50 Cent was not in New York State."
