Pop-rock group Mobile and singer/songwriter Tomi Swick proved their airplay-friendliness by each taking two honours at Saturday's Canadian Radio Music Awards at Toronto's Fairmont Royal York Hotel.

R&B singer Jully Black hosted the afternoon event, where hard rock veterans Triumph were inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall Of Fame. The show was highlighted by performances by Neverending White Lights, George, Rex Goudie, Suits XL, Gregory Charles and reigning Canadian Idol Eva Avila.

Nominations in most categories were based on airplay on various radio formats by artists who hit Canadian charts for the first time in 2006. Votes by radio programmers and on-air personalities decided most of the victors.
