Courtney Love Sued For Not Paying Rehab Bill

Courtney Love may claim to be clean and sober these days, but she's still apparently a little forgetful.
Beau Monde, a Newport Beach, California drug rehabilitation centre, has sued the former Hole frontwoman for not paying a $181,286 U.S. bill for her 11-week stay there about a year-and-a-half ago. The lawsuit claims that Love paid $10,000 when she entered the centre, but that was it.
"Although demanded multiple times by plaintiff, orally and in writing, none of the balance stated has been paid," states the suit.
Love's lawyer, Howard Weitzman, said in an Associated Press article that the court action "will be resolved to the satisfaction of all parties shortly."
Love was sentenced to 180 days in a drug treatment facility for violating probation in three misdemeanour cases — illegal possession of painkillers, being under the influence of a controlled substance in public and assault and battery — in September 2005. She spent some of that time eating gourmet meals and being pampered at Beau Monde, which describes itself on its website as one that works with "very successful, high-profile individuals who are struggling with substance abuse, addictions, compulsive behaviour, burnout and other life/health issues."
