Panic! At The Disco Pack Guyliner To Go To Cabin And Write Songs

Panic! At The Disco

Las Vegas theatrical popsters Panic! At The Disco have started working on the follow-up to their smash 2005 debut, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out.

"Guess you could say I've been hibernating for the past few months," guitarist Ryan Ross wrote in a recent journal entry on the band's website. "I'll be meeting up with everyone at the cabin in a few days to begin working on songs again.

"This record is going to be something very special to me, and I hope it is to you as well, I've got a few handfuls of lyrics and a pinch of music started so far, should be interesting to see what happens. This is a love story. I've got a good feeling about this record, and we're all very excited to be doing this again, plus it's been a while since I've had some good s'mores."

Although there's no word on when recording will start or if an album will be out later this year, the band said last November that they were tossing ideas around and described them as "a great mix between warm and cold. If you know what I mean."

The quartet toured the world for much of 2006, concluding the year with a special New Year's Eve performance in New York City's Times Square after their North American Nothing Rhymes With Circus tour.

Panic! also parted company with former bassist Brent Wilson in an acrimonious split that resulted in Wilson taking legal action against his former bandmates. Wilson was replaced by Jon Walker.

The group's new "Build God, Then We'll Talk" video can be seen on Fueled By Ramen's YouTube channel. The single will be released as a digital download on March 26.
