Jarvis Cocker's Solo Debut Coming To North America

Pulp main man Jarvis Cocker's Jarvis solo debut, which came out in Europe last November, will receive a North American release via Rough Trade next month.
After collaborating with the likes of Air, Nancy Sinatra, Marianne Faithfull and Charlotte Gainsbourg, and contributing to such projects such as the Leonard Cohen I'm Your Man documentary and the Harry Potter films, the British singer/songwriter decided to use his skills for his own pursuit of fame and fortune.
His first solo track, "Running The World," garnered a bit of publicity after he released it online. The "Don't Let Him Waste Your Time" single was a U.K. hit last fall.
Cocker began writing songs for the album almost three years ago after he moved to Paris. Jarvis was recorded in 13 days in Sheffield, England with Pulp bandmates Antony Genn and Steve Mackey and a barrage of other musicians. The vocals were tracked in Paris.
While Pulp disbanded after 2002's We Love Life album, Cocker told Billboard.com that a reunion isn't out of the question — but nothing is imminent.
"We all get along. No one has died of a drug overdose. But it's not something that we're planning. And no one has driven up with a van full of cash yet."
Cocker will do a short North American tour in late April that includes an April 27 performance at the Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival and a May 1 show at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom.
Here are the tracks on Jarvis:
"Loss Adjuster (Excerpt Pt. 1)"
"Don't Let Him Waste Your Time"
"Black Magic"
"Heavy Weather"
"I Will Kill Again"
"Baby's Coming Back To Me"
"Fat Children"
"From A To I"
"Disney Time"
"Tonite"
"Big Julie"
"Loss Adjuster (Excerpt Pt. 2)"
"Quantum Theory"
