Apostle Of Hustle Hustles To Top Of Campus Chart

With Canadian Music Week on the docket for the next four days, the whole Chart office is buzzing with anticipation... or maybe that's just someone passing gas. So let's dive into the chart analysis fray without any further delay.
There's some friendly competition going on in the Broken Social Scene camp as two of the core members' original bands battle it out. Andrew Whiteman's Apostle Of Hustle takes over #1 on the top 50 chart as National Anthem Of Nowhere moves up three spots. That forces last week's champ, Julie Doiron's Woke Myself Up, down to #2. Do Make Say Think (who share Charles Spearin and Ohad Benchetrit with BSS) remain at #3 with You, You're A History In Rust. Dropping two places to #4 is Of Montreal's Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?, while both The Good, The Bad And The Queen's self-titled album at #5 and Deerhoof's Friend Opportunity at #6 hold their positions for a second week. Moving up seven spots to #7 is last week's Chart Sizzler, Great Lake Swimmers' Ongiara. It jumps ahead of the Chart Sizzler from two weeks ago, Peter Bjorn & John's Writer's Block, which vaults five spots to #8. Bloc Party's A Weekend In The City improves by 11 places to #9. Rounding out the top 10 is Mother Mother's Touch Up, the Chart Sizzler winner from three weeks ago, which drops two spots.
Speaking of Chart Sizzlers, this week's winner is Explosions In The Sky's All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone, which enters at #11. This easily bests the runner-up debut, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra's Security, which comes in at #22. Comeback Kid's Broadcasting... debuts at #24 and fellow Smallman act The Reason's Things Couldn't Be Better enters at #28. Other notable debuts include M. Ward's To Go Home at #30, Albert Hammond Jr.'s Yours To Keep at #41 and Aqueduct's Or Give Me Death at #46.
There was little change at the top of the specialty charts, as only one new #1 emerged. Busdriver's Roadkill Overcoat jumped two positions to grab top spot on the Hip-Hop top 10. The End's Elementary retains the #1 position on the Metal/Punk chart. Alex Cuba's Agua Del Pozo stays in the top spot on the World/Folk chart. Both the Let's Lazertag Sometime compilation and the Dig Your Roots: Creative Jazz compilation remain at #1 respectively on the Electronic and Jazz/Blues charts.
