Evans Blue Have Another Long Title For New Album

Toronto-based rockers Evans Blue are working feverishly in the studio finishing their second album so they can get out and play a spring tour.
The Pursuit Begins When This Portrayal Of Life Ends is the follow-up to last year's The Melody And The Energetic Nature Of Volume debut. Evans Blue are ensconced in The Pocket Studios in Toronto with producer Trevor Kustiak completing the 13-track concept album that will be released in June through The Pocket/Hollywood Records.
Lead singer Kevin Matisyn posted a message on the band's MySpace page that says the record has some "wicked drum parts" from new member Davis H. The Juno-nominated band — who also feature Vlad Tanaskovic, Parker Lauzon and Joe Pitter — will release the album's still unconfirmed first single in late April.
Evans Blue have played with the likes of Staind, Alice In Chains and Three Days Grace. They enjoyed a modicum of success with the radio-friendly singles "Cold (But I'm Still Here)," "Over" and "Beg." Their last album sold more than 130,000 units in the U.S. and roughly 4,000 in Canada.
The band have some U.S. shows lined up for March and April.
