Bjork Makes New Album An International Affair

ChartAttack.com first revealed details about Bjork's new album in January, but now we have a title and release date for the Icelandic singer's new material.

Volta is the title of Bjork's sixth studio album, and it will hit store shelves on May 7, according to her website. Although Bjork produced the record herself, she travelled the globe to give it a worldly flavour. In addition to the contributors already named, Chinese pipa player Min Xiao-Fen plays on one song and she enlisted the help of a 10-piece Icelandic female brass band for three of the record's 10 tracks.

Bjork will play both the Coachella Valley Arts And Music Festival and the Sasquatch! Music Festival in the U.S. this spring. A small European tour is scheduled for the summer.
