Former Phish Keyboardist Readies Debut Solo Album

Page McConnell, best known as the keyboardist for Phish, will release his self-titled solo debut through Legacy Recordings on April 17.
According to Phish's website, the nine-track album was co-produced by McConnell and Jared Slomoff. It was recorded between January 2005 and last June in Brooklyn, New York and Vermont. A snippet of McConnell and his friends jamming on a song can be found on McConnell's website.
"I started working on it about two years ago, not with an end goal in mind, but for the joy of the process," McConnell says of the record. "As the project evolved, I realized the songs held together as a body of work with some recurring themes, especially that of new beginnings. The last few years have been a time of great personal and professional transition, and I think that's reflected in the album."
Other artists appearing on the album include McConnell's three former Phish bandmates — Trey Anastasio, Jon Fishman and Mike Gordon — who are said to have made "significant contributions." The jam band members split up in 2004 after two decades together.
Here are the tracks on Page McConnell:
"Beauty Of A Broken Heart"
"Heavy Rotation"
"Maid Marian"
"Close To Home"
"Runaway Bride"
"Back In The Basement"
"Rules I Don't Know"
"The Complex Wind"
"Everyone But Me"
