Robbie Williams Enters Rehab For Prescription Drug Addiction

Most people celebrate their birthday by getting together with friends, or blowing out candles on a cake. When British pop star Robbie Williams turned 33 on Tuesday, he checked himself into a rehabilitation clinic to be treated for a prescription drug dependency.
Williams' spokesperson, Bryony Watts, wouldn't identify what rehab facility he was in, but said that it was in the U.S. Williams has a mansion in Los Angeles, and there are certainly a lot of wealthy people with drug habits there, so that would be a good place to start looking if you have time on your hands.
American model Lisa D'Amato, who says she had a relationship (remember, Williams isn't gay) with the outspoken singer, told Britain's News Of The World newspaper that he was using antidepressants.
"It was clear he was struggling with his mind. He doesn't drink, but he needs antidepressants to get him through the day. A lot of the time he seemed on edge."
Williams has been treated for depression in the past and he entered rehab in the mid-'90s to be treated for addictions to cocaine, ecstasy and alcohol after he left the boy band Take That, who are in the midst of a major comeback in the U.K. without him.
After Williams' first stint in rehab, he said that he had become so bad that Elton John "kidnapped" him and forced him to seek treatment. In a 2004 television interview, he said that he only gave up drugs and booze because they made him "blow up to the size of a small aircraft hangar."
Williams cancelled an Asian tour in September, citing stress and exhaustion.
