The New Pornographers, who froze their butts off during a free performance at Toronto's Nathan Phillips Square last Saturday after playing in Japan in January, are back to work on their new Mint album.
"We laid down bed tracks at Greenhouse studios in Vancouver this past month," says keyboardist Blaine Thurier. "We're now doing overdubs in Brooklyn with Phil Palazzolo, and mixing god knows where.
"We're looking to be all done by the end of April-ish for a release later this year."
The Pornographers will play two shows in Florida in March and will be part of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California on April 28.
