Austin, Texas Set To Become Canada North For SXSW

Excepting the warm temperatures and abundant free beers, Austin, Texas could almost be confused with any major Canadian city in March. It will be hard to avoid Canucks in the state capital from March 14 to 18, as more than 100 Canadian acts will perform in some 60 venues at the 21st annual South By Southwest Music Festival.
More than 1,300 artists will showcase at the event, and the preliminary lineup was announced on Thursday. So while the list already looks intriguing, it should get even better in the coming days. If you're interested in joining a healthy contingent of Canadian music industry representatives and journalists showing their support (but just as likely checking out bands that they can't see on a regular basis), find out more by visiting the SXSW website.
ChartAttack will provide daily coverage of this year's festival, from the daytime parties to the nightly concerts, so be sure to keep us bookmarked.
