Nelly Furtado, Billy Talent And K-OS Receive Five Juno Nominations

Canadian Idols Melissa O'Neil and Eva Avila surround Neverending White Lights' Daniel Victor

Nelly Furtado looks like she's going to get an awful lot of television time on April 1. Not only will she host and perform on the Juno Awards show, but she's also been nominated for five honours, tying her for the most with Billy Talent and K-OS.

Billy Talent and K-OS have also been confirmed to perform on the show, as have Three Days Grace, The Tragically Hip and Gregory Charles.

Following behind the big three with a trio of nominations are Quebec pop singer Gregory Charles, Hedley, Malajube and Sarah Harmer. Double nominees include Alexisonfire, Three Days Grace, Sam Roberts, Chantal Kreviazuk, Jim Cuddy, Mobile, Nickelback, Ron Sexsmith, Sarah McLachlan, Tomi Swick and The Tragically Hip.

The Hip will play to honour producer/musician Bob Rock, who will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame. His long list of production credits includes Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Motley Crue, The Cult, Bryan Adams, Our Lady Peace and Simple Plan. Rock, a seven-time Juno winner, is nominated again this year for his work on the Hip's World Container. The Hip were inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 2005.
