Philadelphia/Los Angeles rock trio Burning Brides will release their new Hang Love album on April 24 through Modart.

The record, produced by lead singer/guitarist Dmitri Coats, features 10 songs and is described on the band's MySpace page as a "push through the noose of darkness and beauty into the deep, heavy waters that separate melody and terror, murder and vulnerability, love and hate, open and closed."

The cover shows Coats hanging from a tree while bassist Melanie Coats and drummer Pete Beeman hold torches nearby.

"The wait is almost over," the group say on their website. "Sorry for the delay but we had to figure some shit out first. The future is DIY bitches!"

The band left V2 Records last year and had to find a new label. As part of a major restructuring last month, V2 released virtually all of its artists, including Moby, The White Stripes and The Raconteurs.

Although the track list for the album hasn't been released, the group have posted new songs on their MySpace page, including the heavy, classic metal-leaning "Your Nation Will Die" and "San Diego."

Burning Brides, who put out their sophomore Leave No Ashes album in 2004, recently toured with Peaches and Eagles Of Death Metal. The group also performed at last year's North By Northeast Festival in Toronto.

"Smells like tour spirit," the band wrote on their site, suggesting a lot of shows are on the way in 2007.

Dimitri Coats has also been working with Audioslave lead singer Chris Cornell on his upcoming solo album and is returning to the studio to record two more songs with the former Soundgarden frontman. Coats has also collaborated with Urge Overkill's Nash Kato on some new material.
