More Bunnymen Songs To Learn And Sing

Echo & The Bunnymen

Echo & The Bunnymen's Songs To Learn And Sing was a great compilation when it came out in 1985, but it's about to get even better.

Rhino's The Very Best Of Echo & The Bunnymen: More Songs To Learn And Sing adds nine songs recorded since the original album came out and a DVD featuring eight videos shot between 1983 and 1999. All of the tracks have been remastered for the Jan. 23 release.

The Bunnymen formed in Liverpool, England in 1978 and took the Echo part of their name from a drum machine used in the early days. Pete De Freitas was soon recruited to take over for Echo and, aside from a brief sojourn in 1986, he was a mainstay until he was killed in a 1989 motorcycle accident. But the band's signature sound can primarily be attributed to Ian McCulloch's distinctive voice and guitarist Will Sergeant's elegant pop hooks.

The group have released 10 studio albums over the course of their career, with the most recent being 2005's excellent Siberia.
