Loose Ends: Arcade Fire Returns To School, Lohan In Rehab And Performers For CSHF Gala

Students and graduates of Ottawa's Canterbury High School are in for a treat, as Arcade Fire will play the school on Friday evening. Guitarist/percussionist Richard Reed Parry graduated from the school in 1995, and the concert will raise money for the Canterbury Arts Centre Development Association, a charitable organization that raises arts funding for the school. The Montreal band's Neon Bible album will be released on March 6, and their upcoming five-night stands in New York City and their hometown sold-out almost instantly.
Singer/actress Lindsay Lohan has entered an undisclosed residential treatment centre to take care of her "personal health," she said in a media statement. There was no specific reason stated for her entering the facility, but she's made headlines for her hard-partying ways and said in December that she had been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for about a year.
James Taylor, Chaka Kahn, Michael Buble, Isabelle Boulay, Patrick Bruel, Emm Gryner, Corb Lund, George Canyon, Measha Brueggergosman, David Clayton-Thomas, Karkwa, Marc-Andre Fortin, Laurence Jalbert, Mario Pelchat, Marie-Eve Janvier and Florence K will all perform at the Canadian Songwriters Hall Of Fame induction ceremony at the John Bassett Theatre at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Jan. 28. Joni Mitchell, Quebec's Jean-Pierre Ferland, theatre and film composer Raymond Egan and pioneering country star Wilf Carter will be inducted at the gala, and CBC Television will carry the highlights on March 5.
