Old Bizkits? Durst Releasing Previously Unheard Demos Online

Fred Durst

Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst has put the first of what will be a string of unreleased demos of older songs on the band's MySpace page, beginning with "Press Your Luck."

"I hope you guys enjoy these rare demos that I post every now and again," Durst said in a post on Friday. "John, Sam and myself wrote so many songs during our time without a guitar player.

"Those times were so rewarding for ourselves because we had no one except for ourselves to lean on. We were tighter and closer than ever before and I truly love that period of my life.

"For the most part none of them really saw the light of day," Durst says of the unreleased songs. "We must have tanks and tanks full of unheard tracks/demos.

"All the crazy shit going down at the time from Wes [Borland] bailing on us to Britney Spears — it was a trying time for me and I love my family for being there every step of the way."

Limp Bizkit haven't been heard from since the 2005 mini-album, The Unquestionable Truth, Pt. 1. They also released their Greatest Hitz package later that year that included an odd melding of The Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony" with Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home" alongside the band's biggest efforts.

Durst also says that he's produced some "secret tracks" for other artists that have allegedly been leaked online.

"If I find out they did I will just post them on here for you," he offers. "It was supposed to remain a secret, but people just don't get it sometimes."

Durst says that The Education Of Charlie Banks, the singer's debut as a motion picture director, has been completed. There's still no release date scheduled, however.
