Jann Arden Documentary, Covers Album And Tour On The Way

Jann Arden has led an interesting life, but as the title of her new DVD suggests, it's still ...A Work In Progress.
The MVD Visual documentary, set to arrive in stores on Jan. 30, uses Arden's music as a backdrop to her conveying stories of her country upbringing, her decade of struggle busking and singing for bar bands, her breakthrough to stardom at age 30 and her subsequent success. Her tales are often poignant and revealing, but her well-documented sense of humour also shines through.
Arden will release her ninth album, Uncover Me, a week after the DVD's release. The Universal Music Canada LP features covers of some of Arden's favourite songs, including lead single and anti-war song "Bring The Boys Home" (Freda Payne), "You're So Vain" (Carly Simon), "Peace Train" (Cat Stevens), "At Seventeen" (Janis Ian), "Love Is A Battlefield" (Pat Benatar) and "California Dreamin'" (The Mamas & The Papas). It will also have a new original track, co-written with Russell Broom, titled "Counterfeit Heart."
Arden has gained acclaim as a singer, songwriter, producer, author, actress, speaker, host and comic. She's sold more than two million albums, had 15 top 10 singles in Canada, received eight Juno Awards, sold-out Canadian theatre tours, published two collections of her journals, starred in her own CTV pilot and performed in The Vagina Monologues. The Calgarian has also been honoured with a star on Canada's Walk Of Fame in Toronto.
Arden will launch a major Canadian tour this spring in support of Uncover Me. You can see her here:
