The Creepshow's Hellcat To Have Hellkitten With A Matador

Jen "Hellcat" Blackwood, frontwoman for on-the-rise psychobilly group The Creepshow, and Matadors vocalist/guitarist Joel "Hooch" Parkins are expecting a child in the spring. Consequently, she's taking a temporary leave from The Creepshow until the fall and her sister intends to temp for her.
In a post on the band's MySpace blog, Blackwood reassured fans that the band would go on in her absence.
"I won't be playing live shows for the time being," she wrote. "However, I will continue to be involved in everything Creepshow including writing the next record (which we've already started!) and all other band-type stuff."
Blackwood announced that her sister, Sarah Blackwood (known to some as Sarah Sin), will take over the vocal reins of the band during the Hellcat's absence.
"She's a great little rocker and will keep the creep in my stead for this short little while. I've already give her the severed head's up that we have the greatest fans EVER... and she's super stoked and thrilled to pitch in and help until my return."
Blackwood plans to continue designing for her Honeyshop13 clothing company while she's on leave.
The Creepshow, who released their Sell Your Soul debut last April via Stereo Dynamite, have toured Canada, the western U.S. and parts of Europe.
Sin will make her debut at a "secret show" at an undisclosed Toronto location on Jan. 20 and will play these Canadian dates before heading back to Europe in April:
Jan. 27 Toronto, ON @ CNE Automotive Building (Speed-O-Rama Car Show)
Feb. 23 Guelph, ON @ Shadow
Feb. 24 Ottawa, ON @ Mavericks
March 15 Waterloo, ON @ Wilfrid Laurier University
