The Killers have recorded a Christmas single titled "A Great Big Sled" that will be made available exclusively on iTunes on Dec. 5.

All of the proceeds from sales of the song will be donated to The Global Fund To Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis And Malaria. The Alan Moulder-produced single was recorded in London, England with help from Curve's Toni Halliday. Its video will premiere next week.

The Tragically Hip, Sarah Harmer, Sam Roberts, Kathleen Edwards, Matt Mays and Buck 65 will gather at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre on Dec. 13 for an evening of acoustic music dubbed Holiday Jam. Tickets cost $40 and proceeds from the third annual event will go to The Hospital For Sick Children's Sickkids Foundation.

Montreal metal band Voivod are working on reissuing albums from their catalogue — starting with Rrroooaaarrr, Dimension Hatross and Killing Technology — that should be out via The End Records next year. Each album will be remastered and come with a bonus Iron Gang DVD. The group released Katorz this summer, while a limited-edition vinyl pressing of the album has just been issued. Pre-production for the LP's follow-up will begin this winter. A video for Katorz track "The Getaway" has just been serviced to the appropriate outlets, and clips for "Polaroids" and "The X-Stream" will follow.
