Linkin Park Singer Stalked By Cyber-Savvy Woman

The most recent victim of celebrity cell phone hacking is Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington.
Copies of Bennington's cell phone bill, numbers he called and digital photos taken with his phone were obtained by Devon Townsend, a 27-year-old woman from Albuquerque, N.M. Townsend is also said to have hacked into the email of Bennington's wife, Talinda, and made a threatening phone call to her.
Townsend was an employee of Sandia National Laboratories, which develops technology to support national security, where she allegedly used computers to hack into Verizon Wireless' website and gain access to Bennington's cell phone account. She was fired after it was learned that she had used company computers to search out the Grammy Award-winning singer's information.
An affidavit filed by the Department Of Defense Inspector General says that, in a search of Townsend's home, investigators found Linkin Park posters, autographed memorabilia, pictures of Townsend with Bennington, bootlegged Linkin Park music and copies of messages and photos intercepted from the Bennington family's email accounts.
Townsend attorney Ray Twohig claimed that the case is "the internet version of a groupie hiding in Mick Jagger's dressing room."
Townsend has waived her right to a preliminary hearing regarding the charges and was released to her mother's custody.
Interestingly enough, the alleged stalker has written on her MySpace page that "if you can't find the humor in any situation and enjoy it where would we be?"
A criminal investigation regarding national security and stalking charges don't seem like something to laugh about, but to each their own.
Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz apparently had his Sidekick hacked earlier this year, resulting in images of his own little fall out boy being spread across the online community. Paris Hilton was also in on the act in February.
