Singer Marianne Faithfull, Mick Jagger's pop star girlfriend in the '60s who became an unlikely favourite of punk and alternative music fans following her raw 1979 Broken English album, has made a full recovery from breast cancer and plans to resume the world tour that she postponed in September after being diagnosed with the disease. The 59 year old, who has now become more of a chanteuse, has collaborated in recent years with the likes of Beck, Damon Albarn, Billy Corgan, Jarvis Cocker, PJ Harvey and Nick Cave. She appeared in Sofia Coppola's new Marie Antoinette film as the mother of the title character.

Snoop Dogg turned himself in to police in Orange County, California on Monday after an arrest warrant was issued for him on Nov. 2 while he was in Copenhagen, Denmark performing at the MTV Europe Music Awards. The rapper was charged with felony possession of a deadly weapon after being arrested for allegedly trying to take a collapsible 53-centimetre police baton in his laptop computer bag on to a plane bound from Santa Ana, California to New York City on Sept. 27. He's free after posting $150,000 U.S. bail. No court date for the charge has been set.

G-Unit rappers Lloyd Banks and Young Buck have had felony gun possession charges against them dropped at the request of prosecutors. The two men were originally arrested after a loaded handgun and another weapon were found in a van that they were riding in with 11 other men following an August 2005 performance at New York City's Madison Square Garden. A police investigation determined that neither Banks nor Young Buck had possessed the guns. One suspect has pleaded guilty and another is under indictment.

A judge has ruled that the rapper formerly known as C-Murder can be photographed at his home but can't give interviews to promote his new album as a condition of his house arrest for second-degree murder. Corey Miller (who now goes by the rap name of C Miller) must stay at his house in Kenner, Louisiana until his trial, which is scheduled to start on Feb. 26.
