Mark Kozelek's Caldo Verde Label Has Live Album And Reissue Coming

Rum-pa-pum-pum. Singer/songwriter Mark Kozelek will release his Little Drummer Boy Live album on his own Caldo Verde label on Nov. 28.
The two-CD set features 20 songs primarily recorded at concerts in North America and Europe over the past year. The repertoire covers Kozelek's entire career, including solo songs and material from Red House Painters and Sun Kil Moon. It also includes the Christmas favourite title track, covers of songs by Modest Mouse, The Cars and AC/DC, as well as the previously unreleased "Moorestown" and "Unlit Hallway." Kozelek is backed on several tracks by his Red House Painters/Sun Kil Moon bandmate, guitarist Phil Carney.
Fans who purchase the album from the Caldo Verde website by midnight on Dec. 15 will have a chance to win Kozelek's 12-string Takamine guitar, a hard shell case and a signed photo of the artist with the instrument.
Caldo Verde will also reissue an expanded version of Sun Kil Moon's acclaimed 2003 debut, Ghosts Of The Great Highway, on Jan. 23. It will come with new packaging and a six-song bonus CD featuring two versions of Leonard Bernstein's "Somewhere," alternate versions of "Carry Me Ohio" and "Salvador Sanchez," a Portuguese radio recording of "Gentle Moon" and the previously unreleased instrumental, "Arrival," which was recorded for the movie The Girl Next Door.
