Clap Your Hand Say Yeah's Thunder Is Ready To Roll Again

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah released, distributed and promoted their self-titled debut in 2005, and became one of the most talked-about bands in indie rock on the strength of that.

The quintet will look to maintain that buzz with the Jan. 30 CD release of Some Loud Thunder, which it will also release on their own in North America. But those who purchase the mp3 version of the album, which will be available two weeks earlier, will receive the disc for free once it's released. People who purchase directly from the band will also receive an exclusive T-shirt.

The album's "Love Song No. 7" and "Underwater (You And Me)" can be heard now on the band's website, while "Satan Said Dance" and "Underwater (You And Me)" are available on their MySpace page.

While Alec Ounsworth is based in Philadelphia, band members Lee Sargent, Tyler Sargent, Robbie Guertin and Sean Greehalgh call Brooklyn home when they're not touring. The group will play New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom on New Year's Eve, and have a number of European dates slated for February.

Here are the songs on Some Loud Thunder:
"Some Loud Thunder"
