Slipknot's Masked Men Allow Fans To Get To Know Them On New DVD

Just in time to make it a special Christmas for maggots everywhere, here comes Slipknot's new Voliminal: Inside The Nine DVD.
The Roadrunner release, due on Dec. 5, will feature two discs. The first is a 90-minute film created and directed by M. Shawn Crahan that was shot guerilla-style with handheld camcorders. The movie reveals details about the Iowan metal band's activities while touring in support of their Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) album. The documentary also includes nine hidden "rabbit holes" that focus on each of the group's nine masked members.
The second disc will feature live performances from around the world, interviews with each band member and music videos for "Duality," "Vermilion," "Before I Forget," "The Nameless" and "Vermilion 2," which was never officially released. Fans will also get an up-close look at the death masks worn onstage during Slipknot's most recent tour.
While Slipknot are on hiatus until next year, when they'll begin recording an album expected in 2008, vocalist Corey Taylor and guitarist James Root (aka #4) have been busy touring with their side project, Stone Sour.
Slipknot's three studio albums have combined to sell more than 400,000 copies in Canada.
