More Johnny Cash Material From The Vaults

Johnny Cash's popularity has only grown since his death three years ago, and two different labels will give fans more of the legend's music next month.
Columbia/Legacy will issue a two-CD/single DVD edition of Johnny Cash At San Quentin on Nov. 14. It was originally released in 1969 as a 10-song LP, but the new version will include 13 previously unreleased songs as well as the Johnny Cash In San Quentin documentary that was made for British television. The additional songs include several by The Carter Family, June Carter, Carl Perkins and The Statler Brothers, either on their own or with Cash.
A week after At San Quentin hits stores, Universal will release The Legend Of Johnny Cash Vol. II. The 20-song collection runs in chronological order from 1956's "There You Go" to "In The Sweet By And By" and an orchestral version of Leonard Cohen's "Bird On A Wire" from 2003's Unearthed boxed set.
