Dave Matthews Band Fan Favourites On New Compilation

 Dave Matthews Band

Dave Matthews Band's first career retrospective, Best Of What's Around Volume 1, features a number of live tracks chosen by the group's devoted cult of followers.

The first disc of the two-CD set, scheduled to arrive in stores on November 7 via RCA, features some of the jam-pop-rock band's most well-known songs, including "The Space Between," "What Would You Say?," "Crush" and "Crash Into Me."

Disc two features eight live tracks recorded at concerts from 2001 to this year that were selected by DMB devotees. Among the fan favourites are a version of "Louisiana Bayou" with guest guitarist Robert Randolph and an 11-minute workout of "Warehouse" fused with "Louie Louie."

South Africa-born Matthews and his mates formed 15 years ago in Charlottesville, Virginia. Their 1994 RCA debut, Under The Table & Dreaming, went on to sell more than four million copies in the U.S. alone. The band haven't looked back since, becoming one of the top-selling and biggest tour-grossing acts in the country. They're playing a handful of western U.S. shows this month, including a stop at Neil Young's Bridge School benefit in San Francisco.
