Nirvana's 1994 VHS Release Receiving DVD Reissue

Nirvana's 1994 Live! Tonight! Sold Out!! home video will get the deluxe DVD reissue treatment from Geffen on November 7.
The original release, which features material recorded during the band's 1991-92 Nevermind tour, has been improved via colour-corrected film and digitally remastered 5.1 surround sound. Five songs that didn't make it on to the video the first time around, from a 1991 show at Amsterdam's Paradiso, have been added. The original video was put together by the band's Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic after the death of Kurt Cobain.
Kurt Cobain: About A Son, a documentary featuring interviews between the tortured artist and journalist/author Michael Azerrad, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last month. The A.J. Schnack-directed movie has a score written by Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard and Nirvana producer Steve Fisk. It also includes songs from some of Cobain's favourite artists, including David Bowie and The Melvins.
