Jay-Z's New Single Leaks As He Talks About Water Shortages

Jay-Z's "Show Me What You Got" single "leaked" on to the internet on Friday, and Def Jam is considering taking legal action against the person responsible for it.
The label has launched an internal investigation to find the culprit, and there are fears that Jay-Z's entire album could be leaked before its rumoured Nov. 21 release date. Unauthorized full-length records from hip-hop artists The Roots, Pharrell and Lupe Fiasco have all made it on to the internet well before they were scheduled to make it into stores.
"The FBI may do an investigation into this," an anonymous source told AllHipHop.com about the Just Blaze-produced track. "Everything has been under lock and key, so we have no idea how the single was leaked."
"Show Me What You Got," which samples a saxophone loop originally used on Public Enemy's "Show Em Whatcha Got" from the group's 1988 Def Jam album, It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back, was put in rotation almost instantly by a number of radio stations.
Jay-Z announced his retirement from recording three years ago with the release of The Black Album, but he's since collaborated on albums with R. Kelly and Linkin Park and appeared on songs by his squeeze Beyonce, Kanye West, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross and others. Talk of his comeback album has been rampant in recent weeks, as some of his collaborators have let some details slip.
In addition to Just Blaze, Dr. Dre, Timbaland, the Neptunes, Coldplay's Chris Martin and West have been involved in the production of the disc, which is reportedly titled Kingdom Come. Hype Williams has said that he's directing the video for "Show Me What You Got."
Jay-Z is the president of Def Jam, though internet speculation circulating this week claims that he could be shown the door. He's currently touring the world to both perform and spread a message about a worldwide shortage of safe drinking water.
