Colin Munroe Comes Out From Behind The Mixing Board

Colin Munroe, who's made a name for himself in the Canadian urban music scene as a producer and songwriter, is trying his hand as a recording artist and performer.
Munroe will make six songs available to purchase on his website and through MapleMusic on September 11. The single "Your Braids" — which was mixed by Mark Needham, who also worked on The Killers' "Mr. Brightside" — will be made available on iTunes on October 1.
While Munroe has worked with Canadian urban artists Ray Robinson, Brassmunk, Divine Brown, Saukrates and Frank N Dank, his own music is more inspired by Joe Jackson, The Beatles and Tin Pan Alley classics. He wrote, recorded and produced his mix of rock, pop and soul at Toronto's Metalworks studios over six months.
The songs on the self-titled digital EP will also be featured on Munroe's Don't Think Less Of Me full-length, which is scheduled for a March release via Marked Music.
Munroe will support the EP's release by playing these shows:
September 10 Ottawa, ON @ Cafe De Kcuf
September 11 Montreal, QC @ Petit Campus
September 12 Toronto, ON @ Supermarket
September 13 London, ON @ Jack's
September 14 Kingston, ON @ The Merchant Tap House
September 15 Toronto, ON @ In The Mood
Here are the songs on the Colin Munroe EP:
