Crowded House's Final Concert Coming On CD And DVD

Crowded House (circa 1988)

Australia's Crowded House have at least one more shot at filling out your CD and DVD collections.

The Farewell To The World concert, recorded during the band's final performance at the Sydney Opera House in November 1996, will be released on both CD and DVD by EMI on November 28. Each set will feature two discs including all 24 songs from the concert, which was a fundraiser for a local children's hospital. The DVD package will also include interviews with band members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour, as well as documentaries on the band's history and the final show.

Crowded House formed in 1985 and recorded four well-crafted studio albums from 1986 to 1993, when they released Together Alone as their swan song. A greatest hits collection came out in 1996, and the band played their second last show at Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern on June 24 of that year.

There are no plans for the melodic pop/rock band to get back together, but Finn and his brother Tim Finn (who was also with Crowded House for a while) played some reunion shows earlier this year with their previous new wave band, Split Enz, which had been broken up for 22 years.

Here are the songs that Crowded House played to say Farewell To The World:
