Two-Disc Moby Hits And Remix Collection Coming Next Month

Moby's most well-known tracks have been collected in a two-CD set called Go — The Very Best Of Moby that will be released by V2 on Oct. 24.
The first disc has 16 songs, including new mixes of "Go" and "In My Heart," a live version of "Feeling So Real" and a new single titled "New York, New York," on which Moby collaborated with Blondie's Debbie Harry.
"I enjoyed working with and getting to know Moby while recording 'New York, New York,'" Harry told NME.com of the song that was recorded over the summer in Manhattan.
"We both live in the city and I love all the inspiration it's given each of us. Moby has a strong artistic vision, but he was also willing to listen to any suggestions that I had, which made me feel a real part of the song. I hope we can do more in the future."
The second disc features 11 Moby songs remixed by the likes of Timo Maas, Tiesto, Jason Nevins and Mylo.
A single-disc version of the album, with a different track list, will be issued in the U.K. by Mute on Nov. 6.
Forty-year-old Moby (real name Richard Melville Hall) has arguably been the most commercially successful techno/electronica artist of the past 15 years, and he became a mainstream pop star with the release of 1999's Play. That record's songs were licensed to dozens of advertisers and compilers and made Moby wealthy, but also drew resentment from some of his earlier fans. The outspoken vegan's more recent albums haven't lived up to Play's sales standard.
