Two classic rock icons, Robert Plant and The Doors, will be the subject of Rhino boxed sets aimed at baby-boomer holiday season shoppers.

Nine Lives, featuring all nine of Plant's post-Led Zeppelin albums and a DVD, will arrive first on Nov. 14. Each of the records will be expanded to include bonus tracks.

The first solo disc from Alannah Myles' former flame, 1982's Pictures At Eleven, includes the non-album track "Far Post" and a 1983 live version of "Like I've Never Been Gone." The Principle Of Moments (1983) features a cover of Bob Marley's "Lively Up Yourself" and the previously unreleased "Turnaround." The B-side "Oompa (Watery Bint)" and two other rarities have been placed on 1990's Manic Nirvana. Fate Of Nations (1993) comes with five non-album tracks and demos.

The cover-filled 2002 release, Dreamland, includes "Dirt In A Hole," which wasn't on the original North American version. Plant's most recent album, last year's Mighty Rearranger, features two non-album tracks and remixes of "Tin Pan Alley" and "The Enchanter."

The DVD collects 20 music videos, an interview with Plant, testimonials from other artists and admirers, and a rendition of "Song To The Siren" taped for an episode of VH1's Storytellers.

A Doors set, titled Perception, will follow a week later on Nov. 21. It includes expanded and remastered versions of the Los Angeles group's original six studio albums and a DVD featuring a new 5.1 DTS Surround Sound mix, rare audio and video tracks, photos and lyrics.

The band's 1967 self-titled debut features a previously unreleased version of "Indian Summer." Strange Days (1967) includes an alternate version of the hit "Love Me Two Times." The 17-minute "Celebration Of The Lizard" has been added to 1968's Waiting For The Sun.

Another different take on an old favourite, "Touch Me," has been tacked on to The Soft Parade along with the previously unreleased "Push Push" and recordings of two 1969 live performances at New York City television station WNET. Eight different versions of "Roadhouse Blues" and a cover of Chuck Berry's "Carol" have been appended to 1970s Morrison Hotel. The band's last studio album with Jim Morrison, 1971's L.A. Woman, features rehearsal recordings of "Crawling King Snake."

The surviving Doors members and Rolling Stone scribe Ben Fong-Torres collaborated on the first authorized autobiography of the group, The Doors By The Doors. Hyperion will publish the book on Nov. 7.
