Jeff Tweedy Solo DVD On The Way As Wilco And Their Members Still Tour

Wilco have toured extensively this summer, and they'll be hitting the road for more U.S. shows in October, but there's even more going on with the band if you consider their members' various side and solo projects.

Four shows from frontman Jeff Tweedy's solo tour from earlier this year were captured on film by Christoph Green and Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty, the team responsible for the Burn To Shine live performance DVD series. Their footage has been assembled on a DVD titled Sunken Treasure that will be released on Oct. 24 by Nonesuch.

The DVD includes songs recorded by Wilco, as part of their Billy Bragg Mermaid Avenue collaboration and from one of Tweedy's side bands, Loose Fur. Wilco's Nels Cline and Glenn Kotche opened the tour (and are hitting the road together again next month in support of their side and solo projects) and contributed to some of the songs on the disc, which features the previously unreleased "The Thanks I Get." All of the songs will be made available as free MP3 downloads to anyone who buys the DVD via a special utility on it.

Wilco have begun work on their next album, which is expected to be released next spring by Nonesuch.
