New Delerium Music Floats On The Clouds Of The World

Delerium

Nugaes Du Monde (Clouds Of The World), the fifth full-length album from Vancouver's Delerium, promises to be a pretty eclectic effort.

The duo behind Delerium, Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber, recruited an array of singers from multiple genres to accompany the music on the October 3 Nettwerk release. The seven-piece gang of U.K. classical pop sirens, The Mediaeval Baebes, appear on two tracks. Also lending a hand are Juno Award-winning Punjabi singer Kiran Ahluwalia and Armenian-Canadian soprano Isabel Bayrakdarian.

Nuages Du Monde also features contributions from Delerium regulars Zoe Johnston (Faithless), Jael (Lunik), Kristy Thirsk, and Kirsty Hawkshaw, who has also worked with Orbital, BT and Tiesto.

Nettwerk says Nuages Du Monde "bridges the gap between world music, new age electronics and even modern classical by melding the more overtly commercial pop of 2003's Chimera with the lush, sensual ambience and cloistered harmonies of 1997's Karma."

A tour in support of Nuages Du Monde is planned, but no dates have been announced yet.

Here are the tracks on Nuages Du Monde:
"Angelicas"
"Extollere"
"The Way You Want To Be"
"Indoctrination"
"Tectonic Shift"
"Self-Saboteur"
"Lumenis"
"Fleeting Instant"
"Sister Sojourn Ghost"
"Lost And Found"
