Scarface The Video Game: Say Hello To My Big Soundtrack

Johnny Cash, Iggy Pop and Public Enemy are just a few of the names whose music will be featured in the upcoming video game, Scarface: The World Is Yours.
The Vivendi Games/Sierra Entertainment joyride is due to hit stores in October for Playstation 2, Xbox and PC. The game's soundtrack will consist of a whopping 130 songs, old and new, from a slew of big-name artists. Vivendi says that it will feature more than two dozen of today's rap and hip-hop stars.
Songs confirmed for the game include: Debbie Harry's "Rush Rush" and Beth Anderson's "Dance Dance Dance" from the film score, Cash's "I'm An Easy Rider," Pop's "The Passenger," Public Enemy's "Don't Believe The Hype," Run-D.M.C.'s "Sucker MCs," Judas Priest's "Breaking The Law," Rick James' "Superfreak" and "Give It To Me Baby," Merle Haggard's "Workin' Man's Blues," Grandmaster Flash's "The Message" and Peter Tosh's "Steppin' Razor."
Playing the game from Tony Montana's perspective, gamers will find that some of the tracks are available at the start of the game, while others have to be unlocked by completing missions. More can be accessed in the game's Exotic Catalog, where players can use the wealth they accumulate to purchase music, decor and cars.
The game also includes a mix-tape option that allows players to create their own music compilations or select pre-existing, genre-specific collections that include the game tracks, the original Giorgio Moroder score and songs from the film.
Earlier this year, the game's designers held a soundtrack talent search on MySpace, where prospective bands could apply to be the lucky winner to have their song included in Scarface. The contest received hundreds of entries, which were voted upon by visitors to the page. Chicago's Kazy got his song "Choke" in the game after receiving more than 70,000 votes.
