Mike Skinner And Pete Doherty Together; Will Kate Moss Be Jealous?

It could be a match made in heaven — or hell.
Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty has been spending time with The Streets' Mike Skinner at the rapper's Shed Studios in London, England recording a new version of "Prangin' Out."
The song, which in its original form opens The Streets' recently released The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living album, is being considered as the next single. The updated version features Doperty adopting a similar vocal style as Skinner on a section that he wrote himself.
"His style on 'Prangin' Out' reminds me of his early stuff," Skinner told NME.com. "But I wouldn't call it rapping. Pete's more of a poet, so it sounds really poetic."
The song deals with Skinner's problematic use of cocaine, a substance that Doperty has had no problems using — along with crack, heroin and marijuana. It's getting caught with them that has really put a damper on his habits.
"He makes my drug escapades look like schoolboy stuff," said Skinner. "He's written the book on excess and tabloid problems."
Skinner first met Doperty two years ago when he was part of a festival tour in Japan with The Libertines. But they didn't get together in the studio until last month.
"I wanted to get Pete on 'When You Wasn't Famous' [another song from The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living], but that didn't happen," said Skinner. "He's quite a difficult person to get hold of."
Skinner inexplicably failed to end that statement with "unless you're hanging out in crack dens, courtrooms or jail cells."
