Three Gut Records co-founder and visual artist Tyler Clark Burke needs a house, and she's enlisted the services of Canadian musicians to help her get it.

In an effort to raise funds for a down payment on a home, Burke has organized The Few Bricks Short A House Project, an e-Bay-affiliated online auction that will see her artist and musician friends offer up personal items and services to the highest bidder.

Profits from the public sale, which began Tuesday, will be divided between the donating artist (40 per cent), Burke (40 per cent) and the Habitat For Humanity charity (20 per cent).

Aspiring musicians have the opportunity to bid on a chance to perform with Feist. The Juno Award winner has offered to learn the winning bidder's song (or choice of song) and perform it live with or for them at an upcoming show.

Broken Social Scene's Justin Peroff has donated a pair of used (but washed) boxers for the occasion. Peaches one-upped that contribution by offering a worn and unwashed thong to whomever forks out the most cash. However, eBay pulled the item from its site, so you'll just have to buy Peaches' panties in person.

Feist/Peaches producer and collaborator Chilly Gonzalez is contributing what he calls a "Gonzpirational pro-versation," a 30-minute phone engagement that will remove the "con" element from normal conversation. Shout Out Out Out Out''s Nik Kozub will remix a song and Sook-Yin Lee will come to your house to exorcise it of ghosts.

Other musicians adding their time to the cause include soon-to-be-former Deadly Snake Andre Ethier, Sadies drummer Michael Belitsky, K-OS and the Hidden Cameras' Joel Gibb, who's offering a picnic on Toronto Island.

Burke is adding several of her own items to the cause as well. She'll be making five new drawings or paintings every day that will end up on the auction block. She's also selling herself into a best-of-three scrabble match with one lucky bidder.
