After a lengthy investigation stemming from a June 22 incident in Surrey, B.C. where Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger was pulled over by police for allegedly speeding and driving erratically, the man born Chad Robert Turton has been charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.8. He's scheduled to appear in court on August 25, when his band have a concert scheduled in Houston, Texas.

Beyonce Knowles and her mother Tina have been sued for $1.5 million U.S. by a former business associate who claims that he hasn't been fully compensated for landing a deal for their House Of Dereon clothing line with Wear Me Apparel, Corp. Icon Entertainment CEO Greg Walker filed the breach of contract lawsuit because he claims that he's only received $25,000 from the elder Knowles and $85,000 from Wear Me, which was also named in the suit.

Torontonians may not be seeing as much of Prince anymore, as the singer and his second wife, Toronto's Manuela Testolini, have filed for divorce. The 48-year-old entertainer (real name Prince Rogers Nelson) and his 29-year-old wife, who used to work for his charitable foundation, were married in a Jehovah's Witness ceremony in Hawaii on New Year's Eve in 2001. They have no children.

The rapper who used to call himself C-Murder has been released from his home confinement program while waiting for a retrial on a second-degree murder charge. A judge ruled that Corey Miller's participation in a home-monitoring program was a burden on the Gretna, Louisiana police department. The man who now goes by the rap handle C Miller can now move freely in Jefferson and Orleans parishes, but must be home from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and is barred from drinking alcohol and going to bars. Visitors to his abode are restricted. Prosecutors had asked for Miller to be sent back to prison for several violations of his home confinement, claiming that he had moved out of range of the electronic monitoring equipment for long periods.
