The Killers Take A Break From Feuding To Record New Album

The Killers

Having disproved the idiom that "any press is good press," The Killers have been in desperate need of some news that might turn attention away from their feuds with Fall Out Boy and The Bravery.

As an offering to distract the press from their pitiable vendettas, the American pop-rockers have delivered some details about their upcoming album. Sam's Town, named after a casino in the group's hometown of Las Vegas, is slated for an October 3 release.

The new disc was produced by Flood (real name Mark Ellis) and Alan Moulder, the dynamic duo responsible for the Smashing Pumpkins classic, Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness.

Moulder was also behind The Killers' first album, Hot Fuss, which has sold more than three million copies in the U.S. since its release two years ago. The success of the group's debut has thus far prompted them to unleash 17 Hot Fuss-related releases, including a box set.

Sam's Town's first single, "When You Were Young," can be heard now on The Killers' website.

Here are the tracks residing in Sam's Town:
"Sam's Town”
“Enterlude”
“When You Were Young”
“Bling”
“For Reasons Unknown”
“Read My Mind”
“Uncle Jonny”
“Bones”
“My List”
“The River Is Wild”
“Why Do I Keep Counting?”
“Exitlude"
