Bouncer Left Bloody After Black Eyed Brawl In Berlin Club

Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am was investigated by German police following a nightclub brawl that occurred at an after-show party in Berlin.
Police spokesman Ronny Frank said Will.i.am (real name William Adams) was allegedly part of an altercation that broke out around 1:30 a.m. last Thursday at the downtown 40 Seconds Club, according to an Associated Press report.
Police couldn't confirm the details of the fracas, but it's believed to have primarily involved the club's doorman and the group's bodyguard. Their names weren't released.
All three men were taken into custody for statements and contact details and then released. They were being investigated on charges of causing bodily injury and causing serious bodily injury.
"A champagne bottle was used, but as far as what the singer did, there are various reports that contradict one another, and it's not yet clear what happened," Frank said.
The group and their entourage had packed the VIP section of the club, but their bodyguard kept ushering more people in, according to tabloid newspaper B-Z. Club manager Torsten Schermall claims the fight broke out after his security guard told the bodyguard not to wave any more people through. "He didn't pay any attention," he said.
Photos published by B-Z illustrated the bloody scene. One showed the club doorman, with blood covering his face, grappling with the bodyguard. The newspaper also reported that many bottles and glasses were thrown.
"I haven't ever seen anything so brutal," said 26-year-old actress Romina Di Lella, who was in the VIP area. "They were at each other for five minutes."
The Black Eyed Peas made no immediate comment regarding the altercation and no statement was posted on their website. They're currently completing their European tour.
