Alexisonfire, The Trews And The Stills Playing Free Gig In Downtown Toronto

Downtown Toronto is in for nasty weather on Saturday, as it's going to be hit by BlockStorm — a free outdoor event featuring performances by some of Canada's best musical talent.
The storm is set to arrive just in time to launch the MuchMusic Video Awards weekend and will take over the streets at John and Richmond beginning at 2 p.m. There will be performances by Alexisonfire (who you should look for on the cover of the July/August edition of Chart), The Trews, The Stills and Edmonton hip-hop newcomer, Cadence Weapon.
The day-long party will also feature a lineup of live DJs, interactive graffiti displays and X-box video game demonstrations. There will be a General Motors car exhibit, and one attendee will win a new Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged at the end of the event.
As night falls, the Circus Orange pyrotechnic theatre promises to illuminate the sky with a pyro and special effects show.
